Life

Life is all about chances and choices, the chances that we take and the choices that decide our fate. This life that we live is just a game, a game that we play every moment, every minute, everyday, each time trying to overtake the finish line.

That’s the life that we are living today, the race against time. We have innumerable things to do and yet the time is just not enough. In each and every day, we hope to achieve all the material things we desire, tour the world, laugh till our stomachs burst, run like there’s no tomorrow, scream so that the world can hear or just merely fool around and feel like a child again. In doing all these magnificent and incredible things, no matter how great they may seem, we always forget the one thing that makes our lives complete, the one thing that we can turn back to when we feeling disappointed and the one thing that never lets us down…our religion…our creator…Allah!!

How many times, after our tiresome days at work or annoying days at school do we come home and simply thank Allah, thank him for this wonderful life he has bestowed upon us, for the knowledge that we gain everyday, or for granting us the most beautiful gift of being Muslims so we can worship him. How many times do we turn our head in prayer and purely pray for the pleasure of Allah alone?? All this we forget because we are too busy living our lives, the lives we take for granted and the life that we feel is going to last forever.

Life should be lived to the fullest. We should tour the world, laugh, scream and fool around but in doing this we should also remember that it’s not going to last forever and we should prepare for the time when it has to end. We should sometimes just take that little extra time and devote it mainly to please Allah.

Life is like the game we play, we might experience some of the most terrifying and tough challenges along the way, but its up to us to play them…
